Danger classification based on the dog

Biting between dogs is often about a species-specific clarification of the hierarchy of rank. Accordingly, insignificant injuries, for example as a result of a playful snap, generally do not lead to a dog being classified as biting. It must be taken into account, however, that most disputes over rank are settled without biting, namely through threatening signals such as restraint, blocking teeth, opening mouths, growling, wrinkling the bridge of the nose, or defensive snapping.

Dog bites another dog

If a dog is seriously injured or killed by another dog in a dog bite or a one-sided, surprising attack, there are again some arguments in favor of biting this dog. If the facts on which a biting incident is based cannot be fully determined or if the authorities are not convinced of the correctness of the descriptions that suggest biting, given different descriptions of the facts, a bite cannot be affirmed.
Unfortunately, it cannot be pointed out often enough that every dog, not just large dogs, can be classified as dangerous dogs.
